FAQ
-
Does my uploaded image need to be a photograph? No, your artwork does not have to be limited to a photograph. We can engrave logos, symbols and other art into wood. However, please ensure your file is one of the following formats: .jpg .gif .tif .bmp
-
What size should my artwork be?For best results, photos or artwork provided should be at least 1MB, but no larger than 10MB.
-
What do you mean by "optimised" image?"Output of your photograph or artwork can/will vary due to the nature of the photograph (subject, clarity, highlights and lowlights, etc). Burnt Art determines the best output for each image provided, usually by creating a few "test' burns. Sometimes the image provided would be better suited to cropping in order to feature the subject. Sometimes the image needs to be manipulated to better convey lights and darks. This is all included in the base price. However, should you wish to have the artwork burned exactly as uploaded, just indicate this in the dropdown menu as "maintain as uploaded". Burnt Art recommends optimisation of your artwork for the best output.
-
Does my artwork/ photograph have to be in Black & White? There is no need for your artwork to be Black & White only. Burnt Art modifies each image as required for the best possible output.
-
How long will it take for me to receive my engraving?Burnt Art works hard to ensure orders are processed within 2-3 days. However, some artwork may require several test runs to achieve the best result. Standard shipping is then approxiately 5-7 days. Should there be any issues or delays with your order, Burnt Art will contact you with an update.
